MYT Adjustable Leveling Mount

In the final stages of development and after some minor changes following the NAB showing, the MYT ALM will be a welcomed accessory offering options not available elsewhere in such a convenient package. The ability to use 3/4 inch threaded leveling feet as well as 1.5 inch tubular legs which are adjustable through clamps, MSE Grip ACME thread compatible for additional mounting options, handles on each side and a plethora of 1/4 20, 3/8, 1/2 13 inch threads. Easily mountable on either above or below the MYT Glide, the MYT ALM is a welcomed addition for operators who are looking to add to their support options. In some cases, the MYT ALM can replace the tripod and light stand as a support for the MYT Glide. Available in two options, Medium and Large with the latter compatible for both the MYT Medium and Large Glides. Additionaly, the Stepper plate will be available in 3 versions, Fixed, Rotating and Angled. Expected availability Mid to Late June.

MYT Mitchell Adapter

Also very long overdue, this item is finally in production. Made of one block of machined aluminum, the same machining present in our bowls will be on display in this Mitchell Adapter. Unlike traditional Mitchell adapters, ours will offer more than 4 points for the key. The user will be free to locate the key as he or she sees fit. This adapter will be compatible with our Large and Medium MYT Glides.

MYT 150mm Half Ball Adapter

We know ! We’ve been a little slow in making a 150mm Half Ball Adapter available. The wait is over ! We are putting the final touches on the drawings and we should be ready to enter production within a couple of weeks. We hope to offer this product by end of May. Very light, made from one block of aluminum, incredibly strong, the MYT 150mm Half Ball Adapter will be machined in the same fashion as the 100 and 150mm Bowls, on our 4-axis CNC machine. It will also be compatible with the MYT Glide Medium and Large. Stills will be on the site very soon. We hope to have the adapters available by early June.

MYT Motor

The response at the NAB show to the prototype of out MYT Motor system was incredible ! We were taken aback by the level of interest in our setup. We’ve been working on this for a long time and decided a while ago to forgo the traditional belt driven configuration for a far more elegant and sophisticated approach. Our method uses a lead-screw suspended between two span plates, driven through a DC motor located not at either end of the MYT Glide but on the carriage itself. Virtually backlash free, an industry first, the MYT Motor offers an unprecedented level of versatility, control and options for motion capture, time lapse and regular dolly motion. To compound the potential of the MYT motor applications, we made the software open source which is also an industry first. Finally, the system is very simple to set up on any MYT Glide, sandwiched between the MYT carriage and the Hi-Hat. Various interfaces will be available. We hope to release MYT Motor Beta version by Summer 2012. Check out the Video from NAB to get a glimpse of the MYT Motor in action.

MYT Custom Bearings

They are here and installed on every new MYT Glide Medium that we build from now on. Years in the making, Patent Pending, they represent a radical departure from traditional design and offer a new level of convenience never available before. A major development, apparently so simple yet quite complicated to implement, is the addition of a window on the top surface overlooking the wheel. Protected by a silicon cap that can be easily removed, the window allows for instant cleaning without removing the carriage from the tracks. This is a significant industry first ! Other design firsts include the brake located on the bearing itself and easily switchable to any of the four bearings on the carriage. There are many other improvements on this MYT Custom Bearing including lighter weight and tighter tolerances. They are also compatible with all existing MYT Medium Glides. An upgrade path is available to all current owners. Made of Hi-grade aluminum, the manufacturing craftsmanship is of the highest order. This is one development we are particularly proud of !

Some features of the new bearings are the window onto the wheel allowing for easy cleaning access, multiple threaded points to engage the brake and replaceable soft plastic caps. We have also moved the brake onto the bearing itself – this allows for additional braking if needed but also removes the 5th bearing found in our previous models, enabling an even smoother dolly motion. The brake can easily be switched between bearings by screwing it into any of the other threads on one of the other three bearings.

The bearing window will make the maintenance of your bearings incredibly easy – there will be no need to remove the end caps and carriage in order to clean your bearings, an industry first. To clean, simply remove the soft plastic cap with a pin, use a cotton swab with either water or denatured alcohol and slowly glide the carriage on the tracks with the swab against the wheels. You’ll be able to tell when your wheels are clean again; they should be white and spotless.

MYT Underslung

Finally here ! It took quite some time but we are thrilled to finally present the MYT Underslung. It is just a few weeks away from production and we’ll be announcing pricing for both MYT Medium and Large Underslung models. The Large model will be compatible with both MYT Glide Medium and Large. One of the biggest sensations at the NAB show, the MYT Underslung is as smooth, precise and quiet as our MYT Glide and does not require any modification to the the MYT Glide and carriage. It is a modular add-on that can be installed within minutes, utilizing your existing Hi-Hat. The set up is common-sense with bridge plates set on the carriage without obstructing the MYT Hi-hat, and MYT Rods to suspend the MYT Underslung carriage plate. Once installed, The MYT Underslung can be fitted with the MYT Hi-hat which in turn can be secured with 4 MYT SRP125 locking bolts.
