While it is possible to use two light stands to mount the MYT Glide, there are better solutions. It is not that it can’t handle it , it’s simply a matter of torsion and back and forth swing that prevents a stable configuration. Not to mention that 5/8 studs are not particularly precise in their machining and have a lot of play. We highly recommend to use a tripod on one side and a stand on the other as well as a half ball adaptor on the tripod. It is a very stable solution and with the half ball adaptor, you don’t sacrifice your tripod head supporting the MYT Glide.
